EFCC probes Ekiti Varsity over ‘N100 million fraud’

By Anjolaoluwa Abiosun Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado Ekiti, Prof Eddy Olanipekun, has disclosed that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has commenced a probe into the university’s financial activities. The probe is following allegations that some top management officials were using an illegal portal to collect tuition fees from unsuspecting students. This breach in the collection of fees is allegedly suspected to have accumulated embezzlement between N70 million and N100 million. NUC grants Ekiti varsity full accreditation

PM News/UTI: Thursday, May 14, 2020 Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado Ekiti, says the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to the institution to run more undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Mr Bode Olofinmuagun, Head, Directorate of Information, Corporate Affairs of EKSU, made this known in a statement on Thursday in Ado Ekiti.
