Edoumiekumo urged them to honour agreements for academic activities to commence in the affected universities.

The vice chancellor of Niger-Delta university expressed optimism that the issues would be resolved soon.

Meanwhile the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its ongoing warning strike by 12 weeks as President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime fails to accede to the union’s demands.
