The planned two-day conference by the wives of vice-chancellors in Nigeria has been postponed, University Times International learnt.
The Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigeria Universities Spouses (CVCNUS), had earlier announced to hold the conference themed ‘Sustainable leadership and community development’, at the Tayo Aderinokun Memorial Hall of the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
The CVCNUS, in a statement on the UNILAG website, apologised for any inconvenience the postponement might have caused invited guests.
The statement added that “New dates will be communicated as soon as possible.”
It was gathered that the postponement may not be unconnected with the recent barrage of comments that trailed the announcement of the CVCNUS to pay N1.5m each for ‘leadership course’ in Turkey.
