Alex Ekwueme-FUNAI VC Applauds PG Scholarship Partnership with French Government

The Vice-Chancellor, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Prof. Sunday Elom has applauded the Postgraduate Partnership the University has with the French Government  for its positive impact on staff development.

The Vice-Chancellor made the commendation recently when the Acting Director, AE-FUNAI/French Centre, Dr. Chinwe Okolo presented two academic staff of the University that recently completed their postgraduate studies in France under the auspices of the partnership.

He noted that the partnership has improved staff development in the University, adding that the beneficiaries of the programme were now better equipped to discharge their responsibilities as lecturers and researchers.

The Vice-Chancellor said he is irrevocably committed to the continuation of the partnership in order to get more staff of the University enrolled into the scheme, even as he commended the two staff for abiding by the terms of agreement by returning to the institution at the completion of their studies.

While presenting the staff, Utibe Asuquo of the Department of Foreign Languages and Chukwuka Okeke of the Department of Electrical/Electronics Engineering, to the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Okolo, noted that they graduated with Masters in French Language and Literature, and Control and Robotics from University of orbonne Nouvelle Paris and University Bourgogne Franche-Comte respectively.

The two staff are part of over 40 academics of the University that have benefited from the partnership from 2016 when it was sealed.
